W S Habib, Chairman and Managing
Director, RWD appointed President of CREDAI Tamil Nadu
for the term 2025-2027
Chennai, 12 April 2025: CREDAI Tamil Nadu, the apex body
representing private real estate developers across the state, formally inducted
its new leadership team for the term 2025–2027, with Mr. W S Habib, Chairman
and Managing Director of RWD, assuming office as President. The investiture
ceremony brought together prominent government dignitaries and industry
leaders, underlining a shared commitment to Tamil Nadu’s developmental vision
anchored in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Master Plan and the state’s target of
becoming a $1 trillion economy.
The ceremony was graced Thiru
P.K. Sekar Babu, Honourable Minister for Hindu Religious & Charitable
Endowments and CMDA, who served as Chief Guests.; and Mr. B. Ganesan, I.A.S.,
Director of Town and Country Planning, participated as Guests of Honour.
In his keynote address, Mr. W.
S. Habib laid out a comprehensive vision for CREDAI Tamil Nadu, with a
strong emphasis on long-term collaboration with the government. “Real estate
is not just a business vertical; it is the bedrock of employment, infrastructure,
and economic resilience. Our sector contributes significantly to Tamil Nadu’s
GSDP, and its potential will only multiply in the coming decades as
urbanization intensifies. He emphasised very strongly on the need to
establish master plans in Tamil Nadu's major cities and towns as soon as
possible, as this will help us reach our objective of one trillion economy.
CREDAI Tamil Nadu is ready to
work hand in hand with the government to ensure timely implementation, policy
coherence, and streamlined approvals,” added Mr W S Habib.
