The Indian Bond Market stood at US$ 2.69 trillion at the end of Dec-24.
The corporate bond market continues to outpace standing at US$602+billion

In US$ terms in 9months of FY 24-25, total of
US$100bn has been added to the stock of outstanding bond market after
accounting for a 2.7% depreciation of INR in the same time period. In INR
terms, the overall market grew by about 6.5%, whereas the corporate bond market
grew faster at 9%.
However,
the bond markets in India are just at 0.65 of the
equity marketcap unlike developed
markets where the bond markets are 1.2-2.0x of the equity markets.

investors all over
As India
sets its sights on a US$7-8 trillion economy in the next 5 years, a lot of this
capital creation will be lead by the expanding
bond markets and specifically the corporate bond markets.
