SEBI Chief Madhabi Puri Buch says that 68% of HNI investors exit in 1 week. 76% in 1 month. For retail investors it is 43% and 52% respectively. She recommends to wait for price discovery after the stock is listed, maybe even wait for a quarters results.
IPO investing in my opinion has been only a tactical call coz if one has to buy on core portfolio market gives enough opportunities later as well
Retail investor should wait till the first quarter results come before entering a newly listed co.
