75% of the total individual MF assets is in regular mutual fund plans..!

An analysis of nodal association of mutual funds across India (AMFI)  data reveals that 76% of the total individual MF assets is in regular plans.

Individual investor assets..!

The data shows that of the total individual MF assets of Rs.28 lakh crore, Rs.21 lakh crore has come from regular plans. Individual investor assets include investments by retail investors and HNIs.

Individual assets are primarily mutual fund distributor (MFD) driven with regular plans assets dominating over direct due to the convenience offered by MFDs.

While T30 cities contribute 55% of the regular assets, B30 contributes 21%. Direct plans account for 24% of the total individual assets.

Scheme wise

The total assets of individual investors have grown by 24% compared to last year. Notably, investments of individual investors have increased by 26% in equity schemes and 28% in index funds /Fund of Funds.
