It's 1st time when festive season and World Cup coincided in India after 1987, according to Bank of Baroda economists.

1. Digital:
Total viewership of World Cup is to cross 80 Cr which will generate Rs 10500-12000 Cr in TV rights and sponsorship.
Disney+ Hotstar has secured 26 sponsors and is in talks with 12 more.
Global brands are even spending Rs 3 Lakh/second on ads.
2. Aviation:
Airlines have raised their fares to 415% in 10 cities like Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and others!🤯
3. Hospitality:
Hotels on MakeMyTrip and Airbnb, Indian Hotels, and ITC Hotels have increased costs from Rs 20k to Rs 80k.
Even same day booking can cost you till Rs 1.7 Lakh.
4. Retail:
Due to magical timing of 3 month festive season, Indians are set to spend more (Rs 100-200 Cr).
5. Tourism:
Foreign and domestic tourists are set to travel to attendees who will contribute Rs 600-850 Cr.
6. Food delivery:
Online delivery brands Zomato, Swiggy and others are all set to do good business of Rs 4000-5000 Cr.
Such as Domino's and major pizza brands dropped their prices by 50% recently to win more orders.
7. Event management:
BCCI has spent Rs 750-1000 Cr to renovate stadiums and arrange things for the matches.
Even electronics and appliances sector is set to achieve Rs 17500 Cr sales within next 2 months.
ICC have also appointed Shahrukh Khan and Sachin Tendulkar as brand ambassadors for the World Cup.
Inflation in India may rise to 0.25% for October and November due to this.
Indian Govt is set to collect heavy taxes from ticket sales (Rs 1600-2200 Cr) and GST on hotels, and QSRs (Quick Service restaurant delivery and merchandise.
Due to premiumisation trend, Indians are also spending more on fashion, entertainment, personal care and leisure.
