REAR SEAT BELT MAY IMPACT MOTOR INSURANCE CLAIM

REAR SEAT BELT MAY IMPACT INSURANCE CLAIM

There is no law which says if a person doesn't wear a seat belt & is killed in an accident, he or she will not get compensation.

However, our reading under  MOTOR VEHICLE ACT,  Tribunals or Courts may be inclined to award *Lower Compensation* and it doesn't cover
*Gratuitous passengers* traveling in private vehicles.

Note:- Last 20 years, Government made Rear seat belt must from *October 2002*. Anything above law, Insurance claim can be denied.

*Usually I don't request to forward my message, But I thought it would be helpful to create Awareness*
