IOB conducts Customer Outreach Initiative

Indian Overseas Bank conducts 2-day Customer Outreach Initiative

All the Public and Private Sector Banks have decided to conduct “Customer Outreach Initiative” – “Grahak Mela Camps”, jointly.

The purpose of this outreach programme is to bring awareness to the General Public and target groups to provide them access to credit “interalia” including Retail, Agriculture, SHG Finance, Vehicle, Home, MSME, Education and Personal Consumer loan. The MSME loan restructuring and One Time settlement will also take place in this programme.

The above programme is to be conducted in two phases, the first is from 03/10/2019 to 07/10/2019 starting at 10.AM and the second phase will be from 21/10/2019 to 25/10/2019. It will be 2 to 3 days’ long event in each identified district.




The first phase of outreach programme will be conducted in16 districts of Tamil Nadu. Indian Overseas Bank being the convener of State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) and also Lead Bank in 8 Districts of Tamil Nadu is convening this programme at Chennai, Karur, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Thanjavur, Tirunelveli, Tiruchirappalli and Virudhunagar.

Indian Overseas Bank in coordination with other member banks is conducting the programme in Chennai on 04.10.2019 and 05.10.2019 at “Vijaya Mahal”, Sir Theagaraya Road, T.Nagar, Chennai-600017. NBFCs, MFIs, HFCs, SIDBI and private sector banks are also participating in the said campaign along with the Public Sector Banks.

Many banking facilities like settling loans under OTS for eligible NPA borrowers, restructuring of loans particularly MSME, special focus on financial inclusion scheme and digital payment methods will be provided to customers there.

The General Public is cordially invited in the campaign on 4th and 5th  October 2019.
