First Close of UTI Structured Debt Opportunities Fund by UTI Capital P Ltd

UTI Capital Private Limited (“UTI Capital”), a 100% subsidiary of UTI Asset Management Company(“UTI AMC”),announced the first close of UTI Structured Debt Opportunities Fund I (“UTI SDOF 1”) on November 15, 2017. UTI SDOF 1 is a Category II Alternative Investment Fund (“AIF”) with a target corpus of Rs. 7,500 million (and an additional greenshoe option of

Rs. 2,500 million). The capital commitments in the fund currently stand at more than Rs. 4800 million.

Mr Rohit Gulati, Managing Partner of UTI Capital continued, “This fund aims to fill a void in the mid-market, where traditional capital sources may not be readily available to many high quality and creditworthy borrowers due to various constraints. We seek to identify and create a portfolio of such borrowers through active origination, underwriting, monitoring and hence create value for our investors.”
