“Vidura Neethi” – Mahabharatha retold

Krishnaveni Natya Dhwani, Dance compositions of Nithya Choodamani Smt. Krishnaveni Lakshmanan, to be released as DVD.

Padmabhushan Smt. Sudha Raghunathan releases and Sri. Y. Prabhu, General Secretary, Krishna Gana Sabha receives the first copy.

The DVD release will be followed by classical dance-drama “Vidura Neethi”, by V. Balagurunathan and Gayatri.

About the performers:
Sri. V.Balagurunathan and Smt. Gayatri Balagurunathan are the lineage of the great legend Smt. Krishnaveni Lakshmanan, their Guru and mentor. Gayatri and Bala have gained recognition as one of the best dancing duos in Chennai and have won accolades for their creativity in performing, choreography and teaching. Together they have traveled far and wide for many performances, workshops and lecture demonstrations. They have produced many Nrithya Natakams: Ayigin Nandhini, Ainkaran , Anjaneya Veera, Madhava Keshava, to name a few. They are the recipient of many prestigious awards — ABHYASA NRITHYA VARDHINI, NRITHYA CHINTAMANI, NARTANA CHOODAMANI, KALAIKKOMAMANI and Obul Reddy Award for Senior dancers from Narada Gana Sabha.

They are the artistic directors of KRISHNANJALI ACADEMY (a wing of the KRISHNANJALI TRUST )that supports many underprivileged children to learn Bharatanatyam, free of cost. They are also into many voluntary services like Jana Bharatam and Aseema trust, to spread Bharatanatyam to the Children of
