Bill 2016: Flat buyer can be jailed if tribunal's order not obeyed..!
A flat buyer can be
jailed (up to 1 year) if he does not obey orders of the Regulatory Authorities
or Appellate Tribunal.
The provision of
imprisonment for home /flat buyers has been included in the Real Estate
(Regulation and Development) Bill 2016. While the bill was recently passed in
the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha passed it.
