State to encourage Farmers Producer Organizations

 To help 5 lakh farmers in 13 districts sell 25 products through FPO

 Request farmers to take advantage of this 3-day Agri & Dairy Fair to learn new techniques

 Over 2000 visitors came on Day 1 to the convention that has 70+ exhibitors  


Israel is globally recognized for agriculture and State Govt. is keen to promote agriculture and help farmers with modern techniques and systems to reduce cost and improve farm productivity. 

The Farmers Producer Organization (FPO) is a novel concept being planned by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh to help our farmers. 

The State plans to help 5 lakh farmers in 13 districts of the State to sell 25 products across India and market them globally through the FPO. 

At the recently held World Economic Forum at Davos, 5 corporations entered into agreement with the State Government to procure several products through the FPO.

Speaking at the inauguration of the 3-day exhibition being organized by Kenes Exhibitions & supported by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, Sri. Prathipati Pulla Rao, Minister for Agriculture, Agri Processing, Marketing & Warehousing, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries, Government of Andhra Pradesh said: “Am very happy that Kenes Exhibitions has come forward to help farmers in our State showcasing modern farming equipment and techniques that help get access to integrated solutions that help improve productivity and simplify farming. He acknowledged the presence of Ms. Prema Zilberman, Director – Kenes Exhibitions as she hails from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh and is organizing this 3-day event at Vijayawada to help farmers.




Further elaborating on organizing the first international Agriculture & Dairy Fair Andhra 2016 – Agri & Dairy Tech Andhra 2016, Ms. Prema Zilberman, Director – Kenes Exhibitions said “Am pleased to be here in Vijayawada and share our expertise in holding major conferences and exhibitions across the globe especially in the area of Agriculture & Dairy. The 3-day conference started today and will be on till Feb.6 from 9.30 am – 6 pm daily and requested farmers to take advantage from experts.”

Kenes Exhibitions is the organizer of Agritech in Israel & Peru and has been conducting Agritex in Hyderabad over the last three years. The company has organized many other exhibitions across different industries that include Defence, Aerospace, Nano Technology, Water Technologies etc.
 

Nearly 70+ trade exhibitors are participating in Agri & Dairy Tech Andhra 2016 at A Convention Center, Vijayawada that include Captain Tractors, Mahindra Tractors, Heritage Foods, Advanta Seeds, D’Laval, Varix Agro Sciences, John Deere, Coromandel Fertilizers, NABARD, JK Tyres, L&T, Tata, Virbac Animal Health, SSP Pvt Ltd, Dodla Dairy Co and Vedic Organic among others. 

Nearly 10,000 visitors are expected over the three-day international trade fair and a massive farm outreach program is being undertaken in 350+ villages to encourage farmers to visit the event.

The trade fair is inviting principal scientists, professors from agriculture universities, veterinary & horticultural departments under the unique Direction Program. Dr. K Raja Reddy, Director of Extension ANGRAU will be leading this program where farmers get to address their concerns and questions from the scientists & professors from agriculture universities and departments free of cost.
