TiECON Chennai 2015, the premier
event to support, engage, nurture and honour entrepreneurs, today honoured
and recognized the contributions of entrepreneurs from Tamil Nadu at its Awards
Nite, held at the ITC Grand Chola. The prestigious, Life Time Award was
presented to the successful textile industrialist and philanthropist, Dr. Nalli
Kuppusamy Chetti, for his lifelong contribution to the business community, society,
arts and culture.
Transporting the audience through the memory
lane of Madras, Mr. Sriram Venkatakrishnan, Historian and Entrepreneur, acting
as MC, was the highlight of this year’s TiECON Chennai 2015 Awards Nite. Hosting the glittering awards ceremony, Mr.
Sriram interspersed the stories of Madras from the East India Company days in
between announcing the awards.
The
event was attended by a veritable
who's who of Chennai's business and entrepreneurial circles, including
established business leaders, well-known first generation entrepreneurs,
start-ups, C level executives, 6 Entrepreneurs
were awarded across categories. With an aim to provide an interactive platform,
the awards ceremony was organized by TiE Chennai to bring together the entrepreneurial
community, VC’s, Angel Investors, Regulators, and Bankers.
