Re-Introduction of Interest Subvention Scheme will trigger Export growth –

welcoming the reintroduction of Interest Subvention Scheme for
exporters at 3%, FIEO Regional Chairman Dr. A. Sakthivel said that the
announcement of the scheme with retrospective effect from 1.4.2015 will
go a long way in helping the exporters who badly needs support during
this difficult time.

Announcement of the scheme for a five year period
will help the exporters to plan long time strategy. This will give
encouragements to sectors like Engineering, Textiles, Leather, etc. and
will trigger much needed positive growth in exports, Dr. A. Sakthivel
added.
He thanked Hon’ble Prime Minister, Finance Minister and
Minister for State for Commerce and Industry for taking this much needed
step.
