CONCERT – a centre for Consumer education, Research, Teaching,
Training and Testing is a voluntary consumer organization registered as a trust
functioning at Chennai. It is a sister organization of Consumers Association of
India committed to create awareness among consumers through various workshops,
seminars, meetings, media and advising Government on issues related to
consumers.

New Delhi is organizing one day consultative National Workshop on Organic Foods at10.00 am at Shivasunder Villa (behind Prarthana Open Air Theatre) , Injambakkam, Chennai on
8.10.2015.

The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the results of a
survey conducted by us on the perception of consumers about organic food sector
including the labeling requirements. CONCERT proposes to come out with
recommendations for the development / improvement of packaging and labels for
organic foods in domestic market.
CONCERT has proposed to invite officials of the Departments
connected with organic food production, packaging and marketing like Department
of Agriculture, FSSAI, NPOP, Department of Legal Metrology, Agriculture
University, accreditation labs and organic food marketers, etc
