UpGrad,
an online
education venture for working professionals, has launched its application
process for its entrepreneurship program today. The company, co-founded by Ronnie Screwvala, Mayank
Kumar, Ravijot Chugh and Phalgun Kompalli has launched a 15-week intensive
online program called ‘StartUp with
UpGrad’for aspiring entrepreneurs. The course is carefully designed to
provide valuable insights from India’s leading entrepreneurs and frameworks
from leading faculty members.
“As an aspiring entrepreneur there are 100s of things
that one needs to keep in mind”, said Mayank
Kumar, Co-founder and Managing Director.“We have designed our
entrepreneurship program to provide a clear roadmap to aspiring entrepreneurs
on things to focus on while starting a new business. As part of the program,
students will learn from the experiences of 30+ leading entrepreneurs, understand
frameworks from top faculty members and apply these learnings to their own
venture idea.”
The 15-week rigorous online program will provide young
Indian professionals the clarity of thought for their entrepreneurial journey
through live lectures, case studies, group assignments and real-life
application.The course will include learnings from India's most reputed
entrepreneurssuch as Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola Cabs;Radhika Aggarwal, ShopClues;
VSS Mani, JustDial; Rishi Malhotra, Saavn;Pankaj Chaddah, Zomato to name a few,
along with eminent faculty members globally.
Commenting on the need of the course, Rishi Malhotra, CEO and Co-Founder, Saavn
