JLL Research Anatomy of High Streets in India
In JLL India latest research report 'Anatomy of High
Streets in India', we look at few prominent high
streets of India that have successfully stood the test of time.
These are
markets that have created a unique selling proposition of their own through
constant evolution and, in many cases, have created a niche segment of their own.
As a result, these real estate markets have managed to grab the attention of not only the
local brands that operate in India but also national and international brands
that would have otherwise not ventured beyond the posh interiors of a mall.
The characteristics of these
markets, along with the composition of retail brands and catchment profiles,
have been provided as well.
With the help of a small survey of shoppers across
each of these high streets, we have tried to touch upon the aspect of consumer
perception about the high streets. While doing this, we realise that they still
have enough good reasons to continue visiting these markets, given the benefits
the latter provide in terms of competitive deals, strategic locations, easy
access and the niche segments.
