A month of CSR activities by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited
Oil major Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) , a pioneer in marketing and refining of petroleum products has undertaken a month long activities of helping the community as a part of its CSR initiatives.
From its 41st foundation day on July 15th to August 15th, the entire month was dedicated as ‘Corporate Social Responsibility Month’ by HPCL. Numerous humanitarian activities were organised across the country, under the benign theme, ‘Touching Lives – Bringing Smiles’.
Activities like free eye check-up camps, Plantation of trees, blood donation by HPCL officials and volley ball match for blind students were conducted by HPCL.
HPCL also made donations in the form of utility articles like ceiling fans, steel cots, washing machines, free medicines, food, notebooks to poor children, blankets, chairs, tables etc. to many orphanages and old age homes like Seva Chakkara Orphanage, Annai Illam, Udhavum Ullangal etc.
HPCL, South Zone (SZ), (encompassing our 6 Regional Offices located at Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Kozhikode and Cochin)indulged in this noble cause in which more than 10,000 people were benefitted. All these CSR activities were done under the dynamic stewardship ofShri Kanuru Srinivas, General Manager, Deputy, Shri H S Juneja, General Manager-Retail Upgradation, HPCL, SZ.
Thus, a bouquet of services was unleashed by HPCL to the cause of the downtrodden and economically oppressed classes of society. In all the activities, the participants exuded exuberance and unmitigated enthusiasm.
