The 2011 Census figure reports that greater than 2.21 percent in the country were differently-abled in various ways. Government Dept., Public Sector undertakings and Private sector have been playing their role in empowering them economically by employing them. But there is wide gap between the employment rate of people with and without disabilities in the country. The gap could be brought down by ensuring disability is included in the employment program cautiously. The gap may also be due to the lack of forums for the companies reaching the Specially-abled and awareness among the job seekers. FLAG by EmployabilityBridge and CII will play an important role to iron-out the hindrances for the corporate in reaching them and light career dream of many Specially-abled students, said Emmanuel Justus, CEO, EmployabilityBridge.

Since 2011 EmployabilityBridge’s FLAG had enabled hundreds of great engineering job opportunity access to thousands of students across South India. EmployabilityBridge is also planning to conduct CSR FLAG on periodic basis based on corporate need. And it will be scheduled during December every year around International Day of the Specially-abled, added Emmanuel Justus.
