It also communicates that good candidates were spread across and not just only from renowned institutions.

Commenting on the program Emmanuel Justus, CEO,EmployabilityBridge said that “FLAG is a series of intelligent graduate hiring events offered by EmployabilityBridge in association with CII to ease the hiring process for the leading corporate and enable them to meet students from 121 different colleges at one point today. We were delighted to see the eligible candidates get access to opportunities with some of the India’s leading companies. We appreciate the interest by the companies and colleges for FLAG.”

“FLAG has brought significant opportunities to students from Tier 2/ 3 colleges.  This was made possible with the advent of the FLAG model of aggregation. Students were presented with opportunities in manufacturing, automotive and other core engineering apart from the IT and ITES companies which they see the only employment opportunity. FLAGs have been held in many smaller cities/towns like Salem, Dindugal, Thiruvallur, Thiruchengodu, Poosaripatti, Kaniyur and Kannur so far and provided corporate job access to the students from smaller towns.

Until the colleges became a part of FLAG they have seen their students get access to 10 companies but now it is over 45companies. Hence increased the chances of getting placed” he added.
Ambalavanan, CTO, EmployabilityBridge said “EmployabilityBridge plays a pivotal role in the entire job ecosystem by exposing students with opportunities available across multiple industries – Manufacturing, Engineering, Servicing, Automotive, IT, Robotics, Electronics etc. EmployabilityBridge is an intelligent platform that enables smart hiring by companies. Our platform allows the companies to post their vacancies and pre-select the eligible students as per their criteria to meet. Thus the unique algorithm in our platform eliminates the barricades in meeting the good students from smaller towns and cities.”
HR heads of the companies participated said that “companies are looking for candidates with technical knowledge and other employable skill-sets along with long term retainable candidates. Geography is not a constraint. Corporate prefer going to well established colleges as the probability of getting the right candidates are more.

Forum like FLAG eases the process of identifying the right candidates with the criteria that companies looking for at one place; saving cost and time. Another key aspect is the retention factor of the candidates from Tie-2/Tier-3 is much higher.”
Ilankumaran, a student from a college in Thiruchengodu said “I was apprehensive about job after studies. But I am glad I got an offer through FLAG. FLAG is a boon for students like me studying in colleges from smaller cities with limited access to companies beyond our locality.”
EmployabilityBridge’snext FLAG is a CSR FLAG to be held in July 2015 to provide opportunities for the differently abled talents.
