Buildings Near Airports : Planning Approval Norms Eased..!

The government has eased the process for getting permission for construction within the 15 km radius of airports.

As per the new norms, projects do not need to get nod from the civil aviation ministry, if the proposed height is within the stipulated limits.

If the plans & projects comply with the height restriction norms, the local bodies can give permission and these cases need not come to our ministry, according to the civil aviation secretary Mr. V. Somasundran.

It will expedite the clearance for construction projects.

Earlier all applications needed to get approval from the civil aviation ministry, even if they complied with the height norms.
