MCX crude oil contract aggregate average daily volume for February 2015 was about 20.38 mn. barrels and aggregate average daily open interest for the month was approximately 2.85 mn. barrels.
NYMEX Light Sweet WTI Crude oil futures aggregate average daily volume was approximately 1.06 mn lots in February 2015. Highest volume for the month was 1.34 mn lots.
Aggregate average daily open interest for the month was approximately 1.71 mn lots.
U.S. crude oil stockpiles were up by 7.58% in the week ended February 27, 2015 when compared to week ended January 30, 2015.
SPOT MARKET OVERVIEW
Spot price of WTI Cushing crude oil averaged US $ 50.60 per barrel in February 2015, higher than US$47.26 per barrel in January 2015.
It opened the month at US $ 49.57 per barrel with a high of US$53.53 per barrel during the month and closed the month at U S $49.76 per barrel.
