Coimbatore chapters of
Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India), Builders’ Association of
India and Indian Institute of Architects have organised BuildMat 2015, an expo
of construction materials, at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex.
According to C. J.
Raghunathan, chairman of the event, the exhibition has 475 stalls, including 20
outdoor ones & 260 participants.
Nearly 40 participants
are local manufacturing companies displaying products such as pumpsets and
construction mechanisation equipment. As many as 70 companies are
Coimbatore-based dealers for various construction materials and equipment.
The event was open to
business visitors on February 5 and 6 and will be open to the public and
February 7 & 8, 2015.
It has a wide range of
construction and interior products.
These include tiles,
sanitary ware, door knobs, swimming pools, staircases, railings, fencing material,
plumbing solutions, electrical products, pre-fabricated structures, marbles and
granites, and roofing solutions. Some of these are also imported from countries
like China. The Hindu Property Plus is the media partner for the exhibition.
