Global Markets..!

The stand-out global equity performer has been China, where the CSI300 index looked set to end 2014 with gains of about 50%.

Almost all of China's rise came in the last couple of months, as hopes for more aggressive policy stimulus to counter its economic slowdown boosted banks and brokerages.

In 2014, the Sensex gained about 30%, while the Mid - cap index gained 55 % and the Small-cap index advanced 69 %. The Mid cap index now trades at a premium to the benchmark.
