30th Annual General Meeting of Council for Leather Exports

Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Council elected

The 30th Annual General Meeting (Adjourned) of the Council for Leather Exports was held on January 22, 2015 at Hotel Le Royal Meridien, Chennai in which the Committee of Administration (COA) was reconstituted. Earlier, the entire election process to the Regional Committees was initiated and monitored by Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, Chennai who had been notified as Election Authority for this purpose by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

Following the 30th Annual General Meeting, the first meeting of the reconstituted Committee of Administration was convened immediately during which the new Chairman and the Vice-Chairman to the Council were unanimously elected.

Padmashri M. Rafeeque Ahmed was elected as Chairman and Mr. Subash Kapoor was elected as Vice-Chairman of the Council for Leather Exports (CLE) unanimously. They will hold office in the respective positions for two years.
