Reliance Long Term Equity Fund :Change in fundamental attributes

Reliance Mutual Fund (MF)  has announced the change in fundamental attributes of Reliance Long Term Equity Fund, with effect from 2014,  January 22.

The proposed changes are..

Name of the scheme..
Reliance Mid & Small Cap Fund.

Investment objective..
The primary investment objective of the scheme is to seek to generate long term capital appreciation & provide long-term growth opportunities by investing in a portfolio constituted of equity and equity related securities and derivatives predominantly in Mid Cap & Small Cap companies and the secondary objective is to generate consistent returns by investing in debt and money market securities.

Asset allocation pattern..
The scheme would allocate 80% to 100% of assets in equity and equity related instruments, of which 50% to 70% of assets in mid cap companies, 15% to 30% in small cap companies & upto 30% in large cap companies with high risk profile and invest up to 20% of assets in debt and money market instruments (including securitised debt) with low to medium risk profile.

Existing investors have an option to exit without payment of exit load with in a period of 30 days from 2014  December 22 till 2015  January 21.
