The
6th Realty Plus Conclave & Awards 2014, held at Westin, Pune on Monday,
22nd December, 2014 was a scintillating event which witnessed the best of the
real estate fraternity came together on a single platform.
The
event also witnessed the unveiling of India’s Top 100 Projects - a Coffee
Table Book, presented by Dr. Fixit, an initiative by Realty Plus with
Knowledge Partner - CRISIL Real Estate Star Ratings.
One
of the highlights of the event was the felicitating the Scroll of Honour – an
acknowledgment from Realty Plus to stalwarts from the real estate sector for their excellence and exemplary
contribution to real estate industry.
Mr.Mukesh
Malhotra, Past President Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and
Agriculture and Managing Director, Weikfield Products was the Chief Guest for
the afternoon and gave away the Scroll of Honour to Aniruddha Deshpande,
Promoter and MD, City Group Companies; Avinash Nivruti Bhosale, Founder &
Chairman, ABIL Group; DS Kulkarni, Founder, Chairman & MD, DSKDL;
JaiprakashGoel, Chairman, Goel Ganga Group; Kumar Gera, Chairman, Gera
Developments; Lalit Kumar Jain, Chairman & MD, KUL; R Vasudevan, Managing
Director, Vascon Engineers; Rajesh Patil, Chairman & MD, Kolte Patil and
Shrikant Pranjape, Chairman, Pranjape Schemes.
The
6th Realty Plus conclave 2014 brought together policy makers and industry
players on one platform to discuss various issues confronting Indian real
estate sector.
The
panelist discussed the current real estate scenario of the city, while also
suggesting the future course of action. The topic of deliberation was
Pensioner’s Paradise to Property Hub: Evolution of Real Estate in Pune.
The
eminent speakers part of the panel discussions were Sanjay Bajaj, Managing
Director, Pune, JLL, Rohit Gera, Managing Director, Gera Developments; Kruti
Jain,Executive Director, KUL; ShirishKulkarni, Executive Director, DSK
Developers; Vanessa D’Souza, President, EEAP and Ravi Neb, VP-Business
Development, iYogi. The panelist agreed that the market is sluggish and that
catering to the middle income group housing is going to be a driving
factor.ShirishKulkarni, Executive Director, DSK Developers said, “You need a
middle income buyer and catering to him with the right product at the right
price points is the key to success.”Adding Kruti Jain, Executive Director,
KUL said, “Middle income projects move quickly and there is always a demand
for them in the market. The supply in the segment is on a rise with about 3
lakh units floating in the market.” The coming year is a year to watch and
with the new government at the fore, developers are waiting for a push in themarket.
This year was a learning curve for developers. Rohit Gera, Managing Director,
Gera Developments reiterated, “Ache din kahanhain? Customers are cautious and
waiting for the right signals to make their investments.” To sum up, the
panelist believed that the market is slow and that 2015 is a year that
customers are watching the economy to kick in.
The
evening had a fitting finale with the 6th Realty Plus Excellence Awards
rewarding the best in real estate sector.
The process of choosing winners began with inviting entries. The response was
overwhelming, with entries pouring in from Builders, Developers, Interior
Designers, Architects, Property Advisors, IPCS/Brokers/Realtors, Real Estate
Media – OOH/Digital /Radio etc…
The jury panel of The Realty Plus Excellence Awards 2014 consists of some of
the top successful industry professionals and leaders.
Deepak
Sapru, Vice-President-Business Development, Sleek International said, “The
Realty Plus Conclave & Excellence Awards was planned very well. I’ve attended
Real estate events only in the metros and this was my first in Pune. The
event flow was great and most of the key builders had representation at the
event. I wish it goes bigger every year.”
Rave
Neb, VP-Business Development, iYogi said, “The event was a success in every
respect. The real estate sector in Pune needed a platform for everyone in the
real estate community to come together and work towards taking the city to
