presence. It aims to keep the alumni up-to-date with developments and to
promote exchange of knowledge and information among alumni, a new custom
portal, with search and connect with others, is being planned"

up in the daylong event focusing on topics “Entrepreneurial
Dreams – Innovate, Incubate, Implement”, “Careerscape –
Networking to success”, “Make in India – Challenges and Opportunities” and
“Pursuit of Passion #BeyondEngineering” (http://cegam.in/schedule/)
Speaking
about the initiative Mr. B Karunakaran, President of AACEG said, “CEGAM was conceived as an event to
reconnect and strengthen the ties between alumni, students and the institution.
Unlike alumni meet perceived in general, it provides the opportunity to
formally give back and connect with the great institution that played an
important role in the lives of many”.
“Alumni
meet should not be seen as an event to meet, greet and go. One’s academic
circle completes when he/she transfers the knowledge gained at classroom. We
believe CEGAM will serve as a right platform for one to complete his/her
academic cycle by their transferring knowledge to the next generation.” he
added
The
first CEGAM meet was successfully held on July 03, 2011 in CEG with nearly 800
alumni registering for the event, which was inaugurated by distinguished Shri.
