FLAG 2015 received response from over 950 students while leading companies made over 126 offers and shortlisted other eligible students for next level interviews.

The 3rd FLAG 2015 event for this year had participation of companies from multiple industries including manufacturing, IT, software development, ITES and Telecommunication. The companies were hiring for openings in cities across India.

Reliance, Saint Gobian, Mindtree, SAFE Software & Integrated Solutions and Soundarya Decorators were the companies that participated and they were enthused by the response from colleges and students for the FLAG 2015. Looking at the good response, eagerness and performance of the students companies said FLAG by EmployabilityBridge is a one stop-solution to meet our r campus hiring requirements.  It also communicates that good candidates were spread across tier-2/tier-3 cities and not just only in well established institutions in Tier -1 cities.

Commenting on the program Emmanuel Justus, CEO, EmployabilityBridge said that “FLAG is a series of intelligent graduate hiring events offered by EmployabilityBridge in association with CII to ease the hiring process for the leading corporate and they were able to meet students from 47 colleges from smaller cities across the state today. We were delighted to see the eligible candidates get access to opportunities with some of the India’s leading companies. We appreciate the interest by the companies and colleges for FLAG.”

“70% of the colleges in India from tier II tier II cities provide opportunities for the students to graduate; many first generation graduates. But is all the eligible students get access to better job opportunities? No. Few institutions from bigger cities have access to corporate for campus placements. While the others have minimal or no access with the corporate for placement. This restricts the right opportunity for the right candidate merely for a reason he/she is from smaller cities. EmployabilityBridge addresses this issue by aggregating colleges and corporate.” he added.

Dr Rohini Sridhar, Chairperson, CII Madurai zone said that “Southern region of Tamilnadu has many colleges with good infrastructure facilities and qualified faculties. It gives out many technically qualified candidates to the industry every year. Our students are also well equipped with technical knowledge and other qualities required by the industry and are ready to work hard if opportunity provided. But due to lack of awareness both among the students on job availability and among the companies about the institutions the good opportunities are being missed. But events like FLAG play an important role in bridging the gap and empowering the students.”

Ambalavanan, CTO, EmployabilityBridge said “(request you to add your quote).””Our technology platform – www.employabilitybridge.com  plays a critical role in our FLAG event by enabling students and companies to pre-select whom they want  to meet and for the smooth execution of the FLAG event in organized manner.   Our technology platform also supports students with corporate interaction & preparing for success in their first job till they go and join the company “
Dr.R.Chandran, Campus Director, SSM Institute of Engineering and Technology said that “SSMIET is happy to host the students from colleges across the state. This is our first year of association with EmployabilityBridge and we are proud to host the third FLAG for 2015. FLAG is really a good opportunity for the students to get access to leading companies across the country. We are happy and confident that our students will fulfill the expectations of the recruiters and excels. I wish more corporate should take part in the upcoming FLAG events to widen opportunities.”

HR heads of the companies participated said that “companies are looking for candidates with technical knowledge and other employable skill-sets. Geography is not a restriction. Forum like FLAG eases the process to identify the right candidates with the criteria companies looking for at one place and saves cost and time.”
Thanga Roja Lydia, a student from a college in Tuticorin said “I was apprehensive about job after studies. But I am glad that I got an offer through FLAG. FLAG is a boon for students like me studying in colleges from smaller cities with limited access to companies beyond our locality.”
