Application Notes General Information

Emcoril AC allows easy and effective curing of fresh concrete and screed surfaces.

If used correctly Emcoril AC certain subsequent coats can be applied without adhesive problems. Additional

substrate preparation is not necessary.

Standard coating systems and plasters can be applied without removing Emcoril AC. For plasters, however, a bonding agent with a polymer dispersion additive, e.g. Murafan 39, must be applied by spraying. Emcoril AC can be coated with single-component, solvent-based coating materials (e.g. MC-Schutz- über-zug 702 etc.), as well as with polymer-disper- sion coatings(Betonflair WS).

Reactive resin systems, like epoxy or polyurethane resins cannot always be used on top of Emcoril AC. Before applying such systems, specific trials must be carried out.

 

Application

Emcoril AC should be applied immediately, i.e while the compacted and rubbed-down concrete or screed surface is still green. Apply evenly and over the full area.

Emcoril must not be processed if concrete or surrounding temperatures are below +5 °C! Before application the content of the container must be stirred thoroughly. Emcoril AC can be efficiently with

standard spraying equipment.

To ensure an even application the distance between nozzle and surface should be between 0.5 and 1 meter. Be careful to achieve a good and even distribution.

Further Information

Emcoril AC contains no solidification retarding components and is free of substances detrimental to concrete

or steel. Clean all equipment with water immediately after use. The containers must be closed tightly after every use.

Please note,that for interior areas there is no weathering possible!
