E- Commerce portal “Build Mantra” Launched

E- Commerce portal “Build Mantra” Launched -
India’s first online construction and interiors supermarket

“Build Mantra”, India’s first virtual marketplace for planning, building, furnishing and renovating anything and everything that a business community or a common man may require, was launched in Chennai today.

Anyone can log on to www.buildmantra.com , to source and obtain all the things you need in one place with a single click.

Speaking to the media at the launch, Mr. E.M.C. Palaniappan, Founder and CEO of Chona Group of Companies and the promoter of Build Mantra said, “Build Mantra has been positioned as a robust marketplace, where buyers transact with sellers on literally anything – from construction material, interior furnishing, outdoor furnishing to energy products etc. This will be a boon to a corporate or even a single individual.”

Quoting from recent reports, Mr. Palaniappan added that the E- Commerce industry in India is growing rapidly and is going to be a $ 4300 Cr industry by 2020, from the current $1000 Cr, according to Nomura's India Internet Report last month. This factor has given us the confidence that we are doing this at the right time and at the right place and we feel we will get the right response.
To ensure that the customer receives the best quality at the best price, we have, in the last one year done our homework well and, tied up with some of India’s well-known companies and brands to source their products through our E-Commerce portal.

Customers can order products online and pay through the secure payment gateway on Build Mantra.  Payment will be released to the sellers by Build Mantra once the goods are delivered to the customer and there is no complaint in the next 24 hours.
Mr. E.M.C. Palaniappan, Founder and Chairman,

Our site will help to plan, build, furnish and renovate all living, work and leisure spaces like homes, apartments, offices, storage warehouses, industrial work area, restaurants, shopping malls, retail showrooms, hotels, resorts, vacation homes etc.

Mr. U Jayraj Rau, Director - Marketing, Build Mantra said “The Indian public has never had it so convenient - as the site offers a wide range of products from building materials to home accessories - every little thing needed to make dream projects come to life. This is specifically done by a state-of-the art geographic store locator. Based on the pin code you enter, it finds stores that are closest and can provide you with the best deals in the shortest time.”

India now has more than 20 Cr Internet users, with 8.90 Cr users visiting online shopping sites. The main challenges facing the e-commerce industry are infrastructure and trust-related challenges, and the number of people who actually order online. Since we are the pioneers and we will have the first mover advantage, this will help the B2B industry greatly and we hope to achieve a turnover of Rs. 200 Crores in the first two years, said Mr. Palaniappan.
