Gangavaram Port conducts Corporate Social Responsibility Campaign..!

 Creates infrastructure & sanitation facilities in schools & 

organises Mega Medical Camp in neighboring villages

Gangavaram Port Limited has embarked a mega Corporate Social Responsibility campaign to provide better education environment and health service to people in neighboring villages. 

As a part of the program GPL has created facilities at Pallipalem primary School at Gajuwaka. The facilities include creation of infrastructure like construction of toilets, borewell, motor, overhead tank & provision of safe drinking water & sanitation works for school children and other works.

Gangavaram Port also organised a mega medical camp at Pallipalem primary School at Gajuwaka. The camp provided free treatment and medication to the local villagers and advised them on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The program had a well qualified panel of doctors who examined the patients. The participants of the camp went through a systematic process of checkups.

Preliminary diagnosis and consultation by the doctors who conducted check-ups for men, women & children. During the camp, more than 823 people were attended for medical examination and treatment.

 

The program was inaugurated by Senior citizens of Gangavaram village at the Pallipalem Primary School premises. The function was attended by school teachers, students, GPL staff & local villagers who welcomed the GPL humanitarian gesture. 

Gangavaram Port believes in a 4 pronged approach for development and supports Women Empowerment, Education, Environment Protection and Health to raise the living standards of the people and create an equitable growth in the society.

Gangavaram Port has been supporting local programs in Vizag for the past many years and has been organizing initiatives like Sewing training programs, School Development programs, tree plantation drives and medical camps on a regular basis.  These initiatives have helped thousands of under-resourced families increase their self-reliance and improve their quality of life.

Water & Sanitation is the basic necessity which every student has to be provided. With these initiatives we aim to create a positive environment for children who can study and grow in a clean and safe environment at school.

The free medical camp services are offered to the needy patients who cannot afford quality healthcare services.  By providing such facilities we aim to improve the health of the general public & help reduce the prevalent diseases in the area.”
