Yatra.com, India’s leading company in the online travel space, now rewards it customers with complimentary lounge access at Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad airports. This latest offering from Yatra is a first in the industry and is valid for a limited period from September 5th till September 30, 2014.

The offer is valid for first time users of the Yatra app only and allows free access to the Premium Plaza Lounge for 2 hours for journeys originating from Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad domestic airports.

“Today we live in a world which is connected and we see the mobile route as a potential avenue to drive further bookings. By rewarding our customers, we would like to incentivize them with value offerings that no one else in the industry has been able to accord. We have an exclusive tie up which we want to extend to all first time app users who have made their first booking though Yatra’s mobile app and we hope that this would excite them”, said Mr. Sharat Dhall, President Yatra.com.

The offer is applicable to first time users of Yatra mobile app for their first booking and is applicable only on the bookings where the origin city of travel is Delhi, Bangalore or Hyderabad.

To avail of this offer the user must apply the YLOUNGE promo code while transacting on the app and that the booking should be greater than Rs. 5000. On successfully completing the booking, the user will be issued a voucher which would allow him/her to access the Premium Plaza Lounge for two hours.  However, one should note that this offer is not valid for transactions where the travel date is less than or equal to 4 days at the time of booking.

As per a joint study recently released by Google India and A.T. Kearney, India is expected to see its mobile internet user base more-than-double to 480 million by 2017 from 155 million at present. Of the total digital commerce business last year, the travel business has accounted for 71% valued at Rs 44,907 crore as per Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI).

Industry analysts suggest that people are increasingly adopting the digital medium for travel planning. With an increasing mobile base and higher smartphone penetration, apps have become a crucial part of anyone’s life today.

“We have revamped our app which is available for Windows, Android as well as IOS platforms; we at Yatra are focused on increasing business through mobile and are certainly using this as a medium to excite customers and create more happy travelers” added Mr. Sharat Dhall.
