The Rajasthan Cosmo
Foundation distributed 25,000 New School Uniforms worth Rupees Seventy Five
Lakhs at MGM Dizee world, ECR, Chennai. 1000 students from various corporation
schools were also taken to the amusement park, to be a part of this event,
called RCC Kondattam.
The Chief Guest, Shri
Jakkaiyan STK, Special Representative Government of Tamil Nadu at New
Delhi, and Shri Doulat Jain, Member
Animal Welfare Board of India participated.
Shri Navratanmull Chordia, Chief
Donor, Shri Khivraj Chordia Charitable Trust distributed the first set of
Uniforms.
Mr. Hemant Dugar,
President RCC, said, “25,000 needy and
deserving students from in and around Chennai, Kanchipuram, Villupuram and
Cuddalore districts will benefit out of this new school uniform scheme. We have distributed 2,00,000 sets of uniforms
till date”.
He further added “RCC has taken other social
initiatives like Adopt a school program, New clothes scheme for elderly people,
orphans etc through ‘Cloth Bank’, managed by the foundation. Over 1,00,000
needy people have already benefitted out of these schemes.”
The students participated in the whole day
activities which included hospitality, participation in different rides, and
other leisure activities. Gifts were
also distributed to all students on their return.
