13,000 Indians will make history when their images become a part of the world’s largest-ever, digitally produced Photomosaic® Flag that gets unveiled at Arena de Sao Paulo later tonight
Coca-Cola Happiness Flag – the world’s largest ever Photomosaic® flag, will be unveiled on the pitch at Arena de Sao Paulo, ahead of the opening kick of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ later tonight. This Flag, which will have more than 219,000 fan images from 207 countries will include the images of 13,000 Indians who sent their photos www.happinessflag.com, between January 2014 till May 12, 2014. Thus atleast 13,000 Indian photos will be seen at Arena de Sao Paulo, even if they may not physically make it to the stadium tonight.
Over 65,000 fans at the Arena de Sao Paulo and an estimated global audience of over 1 billion people will see the unveil of the Coca-Cola Happiness Flag, showing the world the power of football to bring people from different backgrounds and beliefs together
The number of entries sent from India to the Coca-Cola Happiness Flag is the second highest and next only to the number of entries received from Brazil. Indians have left countries like Germany, Argentina, Spain and Italy, far behind in terms of entries sent
The design for the Coca-Cola Happiness Flag which will have these photographs of football fans from across the world, has been created by Brazilian artist Speto and Argentinian artist Tec and brings to life the power of football to bridge social, cultural, racial, gender, economic, and geographic divides.
The digital Photomosaic® has been done by the world renowned, Robert Silvers, CEO of Runway Technology and inventor of photomosaic technology. The Flag It measures 67m x 45m and is a size of a football field
The Coca-Cola Happiness Flag is a part of the many programs that the Company is leading to make this Football World Cup, the most inclusive world cup ever. Its campaign is calling this - “The World’s Cup
Football legend Andres Iniesta and other well-known personalities from around the world – such as Ryan Seacrest (host of American Idol), Alex Morgan (gold medallist and American soccer player) have also uploaded their image for the Happiness Flag.
Consumers can go online at www.happinessflag.com to see where their image ended up on the final design. Following the unveiling of the Happiness Flag, an innovative digital platform, www.happinessflag.com, will house a digital replica of the flag and using Google technology will allow fans to pinpoint their exact photo on the flag, as well as to discover other amazing facts about the story of the flag and how it was created
