DHFL, India’s second
largest housing finance company unveiled its fixed deposit scheme ‘Swayamsidha’
with a higher Rate of Interest (RoI) and higher yield, exclusively for Indian women. Swayamsidha
can be availed with a minimum investment of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) in single name
or joint names where the depositor number does not exceed three and the first depositor is a woman.
Swayamsidha deposits can also be availed in the name of a minor girl supported by a Guardian.
For FD tenure of 18
months, deposit amounts of less than Rs.25 lakh are offered a Rate of Interest
of 10.60% p.a., while
deposit amounts of Rs.25 lakh or more will be offered 10.85% p.a. An additional 0.50% Rate of
Interest can be availed by privileged* women customers under the same scheme.
DHFL Swayamsidha also
offers the woman investor / first depositor in case of a joint deposit, a free accidental insurance
cover of Rs. 1 lakh.
DHFL Fixed Deposits
are rated CARE AA+ (FD) by CARE and BWR FAAA by Brickworks and assure high safety and excellent
credit quality. DHFL FDs can be availed across the Company’s network presence across 450 locations
in the country. As on March 31, 2014, the Company’s AUM (Assets under Management) stood at
Rs.448.2 billion. *Privilege individual
women customers are defined as senior citizens (age above 60 years), existing
DHFL home loan borrowers,
existing DHFL shareholders, armed force personnel and widows.
