House Hunting during this
time of the year has almost become a ritual amongst the students &
bachelors. While some take help from brokers and real estate agents, a majority
of them resort to the online real estate search portals such as housing.com,
commonfloor.com, flat.to.com in order to save time, money and energy.
In the era of Google plus
and Facebook, where information on anything and everything is just a click
away, house hunters have also expressed the web as their most preferred search
option.
India has witnessed the
launch of many real estate search portals in the past five years. These portals
provide powerful search tool that allows users to conduct a thorough home scout
without actually necessitating their physical presence. Some of these portals
are now foraying into the student/bachelor accommodation space, which is fast
gaining traction across major metros in the country.
Housing.com, 'India's first
map based home search portal offers innumerable options in flats, paying guest
accommodations, hostels etc for student and bachelors across Mumbai, Pune,
Bangalore, Kolkata, Vishakapatnam, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad,
Ghaziabad, Nagpur, Chennai & Delhi.
Recently commonfloor.com
acquired Flat.to a site that helps students and bachelors find flats, paying
guest accommodations & hostels across Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Kota, Jaipur
and Delhi. It also allows users to search for flat mates by listing their flats
on the service.
I am exploring the
interaction opportunity with Mr. Advitiya Sharma, Co - Founder & Marketing
Head for Housing.com who can shed more light on this.
