International Portfolio Workshop Inaugurated

Shri Shasun School of Liberal Education for Women in association with Behance - an Adobe company and Aditya Edu Ventures Pvt Ltd organized the “Free Portfolio Review Workshop” for aspiring photographers, designers, students, creative professionals and talents from any walk of life. The event held at Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College in Chennai was inaugurated by the ace art director and Padmashree awardee Mr. Thota Tharrani.

The members of Jury panel included Mr Yannick Cormier, International Documentary Photographer & Art Director, Mr Amar Ramesh, Director/ Founder, Amar Ramesh Photography, Ms Ashrafi Bhagat, Former Head & Associate Professor, Department of Fine Art, Stella Maris College, Mr Harish Anand Thilakan, Partner & Founder, Influx Interactive & Marketing Partner, Haptik (Smartphone App), Mr Dhilip Kumar, Chief Creative Officer, Null World Entertainment & Kapuchin. 27 interesting portfolios from the field of Photography, Graphics, Illustrations, and Interaction design and art direction, were exhibited.


The Chennai workshop is a part of Behance’s 202 concurrent events happening around 70 countries with 5403 attendees across the globe. The workshop attracted 72 entries out of which 33 were shortlisted. While introducing the jury panel, Mr. S. Abhaya Kumar, Chairman of Shasun Jain College said that this is the first of its kind workshop to be organized in a women’s college thus providing a better platform for women, especially.

With the objective of giving the contestants worldwide recognition, Behance also selected a set of review photos and videos to be put up on its website making it internationally visible. The previous edition held by the same organizers was a great success with over 70 individuals participating.
