New Guinness Record - The largest Electronic Keyboard Ensemble by students of M. S. Martin’s Academy



A new Guinness World Record was attempted by 229 school children  from Chennai, who are disciples  of M.S.Martin’s ‘‘Mellifluous Melodies”. Together, they  performed a two hours concert called  ” Samarpan”, a musical program for the World Peace  at Chennai Convention Center on 16th January,  2014 in the presence of  Ms.S. Janaki, famous playback singer, Mr. Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti, Industrialist and Ms. A. R .Reihanah, Singer and Music Director.  

 The Guinness World Record authorities have now accepted the recommendations of the 3 adjudicators vis Thiru Jawahar, IAS,  Thiru P.S.Prabhakar, Auditor and Mrs. Girija Ramaswamy, Professor of the Music College, Chennai who were witness  to this unique program. Today, the Guinness World Record Certificate for this extra ordinary concert was formerly handed over to M.S. Martin , Founder – Promoter of M.S. Martin Mellifluous Melodies. This is the second Guinness record  created by M. S. Martin and his disciples within 2 years.The entire program of The Guinness Record was master minded by Ms. Sangeetha Sriram.

 Dignitaries present were Thiru K.Dhanavel, IAS, Secretary to Govt. Micro, Medium & Small Industries Dept., Mr. M.S.Viswanathan, Music Maestro, Mr.  Y. Gee Mahendra, Acclaimed Dramatist, Actor & Singer.

All the 229 children presented a shortened version of Samarpan to the packed audience at Music Academy.

 Speaking on the occasion,  Thiru  Dhanavel said, “ he was delighted and honored to be present on such a memorable occasion, where so many children and their families celebrated Martin getting the coveted Guinness record.
 Maestro M.S. Viswanathan said that seeing such a huge group of talented  children made him go down memory lane  and recollect the many ever green hits created by him and his team.

 Y.G Mahendra said, “ Music unites the world and these children have done Chennai, India and M.S. Marin  proud.  This only proves that practice makes perfect.
