VODAFONE’S SPECIAL FOR DEVOTEES OF LORD MURUGAN

-     Free Murugan devotional caller tunes for customers
On the occasion of Thaipusam festival, Vodafone India, one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers, made multiple arrangements for the benefit of devotees visiting the revered shrines of Lord Murugan at Palani.

Thaipusam is one of the biggest religious festivals celebrated in Tamil Nadu and witnesses lakhs of devotees who thronged the town on the key festive days. Vodafone hoarding and stalls were erected at key squares in the three towns to welcome devotees.  Special signboards were put up enroute to direct pilgrims visiting Palani on January 17 and 18, 2014.  Vodafone caps were distributed amongst pilgrims travelling during the day and free drinking water distribution continued round the clock on both days. There were also hoardings promoting special Thaipusam caller tunes. Branded musical CDs with devotional Murugan songs were gifted to lucky customers. Children were presented with Vodafone branded stick balloons.
