Warren Buffett Adds $ 3.7 Crore a Day to His Fortune in 2013


American business magnate Mr. Warren Buffett made a fortunes of nearly $ 37 million per day in 2013, according to Wealth - X, making him the billionaire who made the most money this year (2013).

With a gain of $ 1,270 Crore in 2013, Buffett's net worth at the end of the year stands at $ 5910 crore. The notable philanthropist had a fortune of $ 4640 Crore at the beginning of the year.

However, Buffett is not the wealthiest billionaire on the top 10 list prepared by Wealth-X, a global leader in providing qualified prospects and intelligence on ultra high networth individuals.

Microsoft chairman Mr. Bill Gates added $ 1,150 Crore to his personal fortune in 2013, ending the year with assets totalling $ 7,260 Crore. Mr. Gates is also the richest person on the list.




According to the report, the top 10 individuals collectively gained $ 1,018 Crore billion in 2013, an average gain of $ 1,020 Crore each. The combined wealth of these individuals stood at $ 34,700 Crore in December, up from $ 24,500 Crore in January.

Besides, on an average, they made $ 2.9 Crore per day in 2013 and increased their wealth by 41.6%, outperforming the 24% returns seen in the S & P 500 this year (2013).

Mr. Gates is followed by casino mogul Sheldon Adelson at the third spot, who raked in $1140 Crore in 2013 from his various properties in Las Vegas, Macau and Singapore. His personal net worth is estimated to be more than $ 3,500 Crore in December from $ 2,390 Crore in January, 2013.

Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos became richer by $ 1,130 Crore to take his total fortune to $ 3,440 Crore.

Besides, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg gained $ 1,050 Crore taking his wealth to $ 2,470 Crore.

The report said that Masayoshi Son, head of SoftBank Corp, added $ 1,030 Crore to his fortune.
Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin have added $ 930 Crore each to their personal wealth. Brin's net worth stood at $ 3,000 Crore, while that of Page was at $ 2,990 Crore.
