The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’
Associations of India better known as CREDAI is the apex body for private real
estate developers in India, representing over 9,000 developers through 22
states and 141 city level member associations across the country. CREDAI has
worked hard to make the industry more organized and progressive by networking
closely with government representatives, policy makers, investors, finance
companies, consumers and real estate professionals.
Acting as the voice of India’s
Real Estate industry, CREDAI has been the guiding force for the growing Real
Estate sector in India bringing more transparency to rid the sector of its most
potent virus, Corruption and Red-Tape-ism.
CREDAI role: Maintains
relationships with key stakeholders
· Towards Industry- CREDAI builds relationships between developers and the government
through representations, debates and active participation in all meetings
called by the government to take feedback from the industry
- CREDAI acts as a single point of information for the developer community
for the latest developments in the industry
· CREDAI regularly updates its
members with the latest Industry information, relating to Taxation, Banking,
Housing, Commercial, Retail etc. and information on Technological advancement,
Industry Benchmarks, International Situation etc.
- It provides
consultation to government and other relevant properties
· Towards Developers- To bring developers on the same
platform and create opportunities for the real estate developer community to
interact with other stakeholders in the industry, like government bodies,
professionals and consultants
· Towards Customers- CREDAI’s Code of Conduct
provides clear guidelines for developers to serve their customers in an ethical
and transparent manner. Members strictly and voluntary follow the CREDAI Code
of Conduct, giving the community transparency and professionalism. Set up a
Consumer Grievance
Redressal Forum (CGRF) to resolve genuine complaints by consumers against the
developers.
· Towards Services- CREDAI provides important services like raising issues
relevant to developers in government and non-government forums, suggesting
policy changes, making representations, and giving the developers a unified
front, To have an effective representation CREDAI has formed 20 committees, the
task of each committee is to prepare memorandums / representation / awareness
on its respective subjects
