Madras Law College Alumni :Trust to Serve Society..

National Law Day -  November 26

The Madras Law College batch of 1982 - 1985, have started a Trust in the name and style of LAW 85 TRUST. The objective of this Trust is  to promote legal and other education; providing relief to poor; providing medical assistance to the needy, preservation and protection of the Environment  etc.,

Mr. C. Suresh Reddy, Founder, Hanu Reddy Realty was felicitated on his being appointed as Chairman of Indo American Chamber of Commerce. Mr. T.N. Manoharan, former President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, was also recognized for his Yeoman Services to the Profession. The Batch of 1985 will seek to recognize its batch mates who have contributed significantly in other fields apart from Law.



The Trust has the rare distinction of having five judges of the Madras High Court from their batch. Recently three of them namely Justice Pushpa Sathyanarayana, Justice K. Kalyana Sundaram and Justice S Vaidyanathan have been sworn in as Additional Judges of the Madras High Court.


The Law 85 Trust will make contributions to the Madras Law College by donation of computers, scholarships to poor students and contribution to the family of one of their batch members who expired recently.
