Tamilnadu Registrar Offices to Come Under Surveillance From Today

The program of monitoring all the functions of Registrar offices in Tamilnadu through cameras implemented from today (November 4, 2013).

There are 578 registrar offices in Tamilnadu. This is one of the departments which bring high revenue to the Tamilnadu government.

Documents related to sale of Property, sale of plot of land, sale of farm land, lease, mortgage, general power of attorney and will are registered in this office.

Complaints were received stating irregularities were happening in sub registrar offices in all over Tamilnadu. It is said that the employees in these offices are engaged in this work. Hence, the process of fixing cameras in all these registrar offices.

Tamilnadu Government announced the functions in the registrar offices monitored from today - (November 4, 2013).

Cameras installed in 2 places including the Registrar room and Encumbrance certificate room - computer room.

When it is monitored through cameras the domination of outsiders is expected to reduce in registrar office.

The instances happening in sub registrar offices can be monitored directly from I.G office, Chennai.
