As the part of the strategy of Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India to diversify India’s focus to emerging markets, Federation of Indian Export Organisations, set up by Ministry of Commerce Govt. of India will be organising India Pavilion at the 11th Vietnam International Trade Fair to he held form 4th to 7th December, 2013 at Ho Chi Minh City.
The India Pavilion is organised by FIEO with the support form Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam; Ministry of Planning and Investment; and Hochiminh City People’s Committee Related Ministries & Departments.

The bilateral trade between Indian and Vietnam reached USD 2,592.1 Million in the first 6 month of 2013 which is 40.3 % increase over the corresponding period of 2012. Vietnam exported goods worth USD 1,160.1 million to India registering an increase of 52.7 % over same period of 2013.
However India could export to Vietnam to the tune of USD 1431.9 Million which is having an increase of 31.1 % over the same period 2012. The major products imported by India from Vietnam are mobile phones & accessories; computer hardware, electronic, components; machinery, equipments & spare parts; natural rubber; coffee. India exporteed maize; cattle feed ingredient; cotton; pharmaceutical; steel; machinery, equipments; plastic materials and fabrics.
Mr. Rafeeque Ahmed, President, FIEO welcomed the initiatives made by the Commerce and Industries Minister, Govt. of India for early conclusion of India- ASEAN FTA in Services and Investment and said that this will boost India’s opportunities in the region and help India products to become more competitive in Vietnam Market compared to our competitors. Mr. Rafeeque is confident that the bilateral trade between India and Vietnam will cross USD 7 Billion by 2015.
The proposed India Pavilion in the Exhibition is expected to introduce new products and services from India to Vietnam Market. Exporter s dealing with Pharmaceuticals, Bio-Technology, Bulk Drugs, Chemicals, Animal Feeds and Ingredients, Educational Services, Food processing, ,Cotton, Fabrics Textile & Handicrafts, Machinery & Equipments, Bicycles, Kitchen ware & Tableware, etc will be participating in the Exhibition. Buyers registered for visiting the show includes Importer/ Exporter; Distributor/ Wholesaler; Market Investigator; Investor; Manufacturer/ Producer; Industrial Association; Trade Promotion Organization; etc.
