Owning
a real estate property in Mumbai is a must for Bollywood celebrities. Apart
from investing in restaurants, lands and sports, stars splurge crores of rupees
in house properties.
With
the recent news of Mr. Shahrukh Khan apparently investing Rs. 100 core
plus for 2 floors in a 64 storey tower in Lalbaug, other actors seem to follow
suit. It is rumoured that Mr. Salman Khan, who happens to be SRK's neighbour as
they live in the same locality, is eyeing a bungalow in Bandra and is allegedly
looking to move out of his current address: Galaxy apartments.
Even
Mr. Amitabh Bachchan has made huge investments in JVPD-a posh suburban
locality in Mumbai. The actor who already has 4 bungalows-Jalsa, Prateeskha,
Janak and Vatsa, has allegedly bought a fifth bungalow said to be worth Rs. 50
crores, behind his Juhu house Jalsa.
Following
closely in his footsteps is daughter in law Ms. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who
is said to have allegedly bought a 4 bedroom apartment worth Rs. 5 crore to Rs.
6 crore in Mumbai's posh area Worli.
Ms.
Katrina Kaif was reportedly looking for home in Mumbai and the
actress is said to have finally invested in a duplex apartment on the 12th
floor of a high rise building in Lokhandwala.
Kai
Po Che fame actor Mr. Sushant Singh Rajput is also said to have invested
huge sums for 2 properties in Bandra &
Malad. Sushant, who lives with girlfriend Ankita Lokhande in
Lokhandwala, is said to have made a smart investment, by buying a sprawling 5
BHK apartment in Malad.
Ms.
Anushka Sharma has allegedly moved into a sprawling 7,000 square feet
sea-facing apartment in Versova where she is said to be living with her family.
Even
Mr. Ayushmann Khurrana is said to have made another investment by buying a
second house near Oshiwara.
Mr.
Soha Ali Khan is said to have moved in with boyfriend Kunal Khemu
into a new apartment in Khar.
While
most celebs have gotten lucky, few such as Parineeti Chopra are still
house hunting.
In
an interview to HT Cafe, the actress was quoted saying that she's tired of
living in a rental apartments ever since she moved to Mumbai and wants a house
of her own.
With
property prices rocketing in Mumbai, these investments by our celebs are a
smart move to increase their net worth.
