The 13th NATCON 2013
to be hosted by the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of
India, the apex body representing private Real Estate developers in the
country, will be held at The Ritz Carlton, Moscow on the 27th and 28th
of July, this year.
A few Keynote speakers and attendees are Dr. Girija Vyas (Minister
HUPA), Mr Arun Mishra (Secretary HUPA), Anshuman Magazine (CBRE Chairman), David Cockerton, SinoGulf Real Estate
Investments LLC and the other names mentioned above.
Widely recognized and revered as the best Real Estate convention with
the most august real estate gathering of the country, the NATCON -2013
will expect participation of over 800 delegates including developers
representing above 100 cities of India, influencers, decision makers,
representatives of stakeholder groups and distinguished individuals from across
the Real Estate spectrum of the country and abroad on a common platform. Based
on the agenda of “Realty favours the brave -- Surviving against all odds” the
convention will aim to showcase and debate what the industry can do, in order
to take on the challenges including access to capital and in combating the
odds.
Mr. Lalit Kumar Jain says, “NATCON in Moscow
is going to be great! We all will receive great value out of it. While we
discuss current challenges like regulator, we will also see innovative funding,
instruments and technology; the overall focus will be vision. Motivation by world renowned speakers will be
of huge value and those who are big or aspire to be big cannot neglect and
those who relate to this industry can't miss it. Such conventions keep us
updated with the current challenges of the world. This is a time of flux when
change is taking place every now and then. We
are all well aware that with the passage of time, every sector undergoes a
change which is significant or even transformative! For professionals who are
part of an ever changing and evolving sector such as that of real estate and
construction - it is imperative to stay positive, learn how to adapt and
improvise in order to deliver, in times when the market is impacted by
adversity.
Mr Jain adds, “Real Estate sector will
continue to grapple with numerous other challenges with respect to regulation,
fragmentation, lack of transparency, capacity constraints, trained and skilled
manpower, loopholes in contract procurement and processing mechanisms, cost
overruns, antiquated laws and policies, lack of enforcement and implementation
of reforms etc. While the recent introduction of the real estate regulation
bill is a step in the right direction, we still need to assess the impact that
it will have on developers and how we can ensure a more balanced and efficient
regulation mechanism emerges in the market.
Mr. C Shekar Reddy, the National
President of CREDAI says, “India’s robust growth momentum through the
last financial year has been plagued by challenges both on the domestic, as
well as external front. The environment within the country has been clouded by
several concerns on account of political instability and indecision on
important issues due to parliamentary freeze, governance/corruption related
issues, issues on the environment and land acquisition, regulatory delays and
delays in project clearances etc. Consequently, the Indian realty market once a
preferred and safe-high return investment option, is increasingly seeing vary
investors, amid sluggish sales and an overall slowdown across property
segments. “He adds, “The 13th NATCON over
the period of two days will have brainstorming sessions on introducing best
practices and transparency as well as reducing the timelines & transaction
costs for project approvals, in order to build confidence in international
investors forum”. The conventions main focus will also be to leverage
technology for faster housing delivery.
Like Precast, Contour Crafting (CC) etc. CC is a layered fabrication
technology developed at University of Southern California. This technology has
great potential for automating the construction of whole structures as well as
sub-components. Such advancements would be deliberated in the NATCON at Moscow.
The presence of Minister Housing
and Secretary Housing along with other dignitaries is certainly going to make
the entire environment charged.
Mr Jaxay Shah, the National
Vice President & Chairman NATCON Organizing Committee, CREDAI says, “In an
increasingly changing environment, organizations cannot afford to be
complacent, an industry’s dynamics change with time, and economic/regulatory
influences. There exists an urgent need to keep in sync with latest business
practices, evolving technologies, market dynamics, industry events, and
statistical facts, figures and trends. Here comes the importance of such
conventions. CREDAI’s NATCON is informative, educative, combative and
reformative. This year’s theme unlike previous years is more audacious and
pragmatic. Our industry is replete with vagaries and vicissitudes. The quantum
of challenges, obstructions and persecution we face is seldom faced by any
other industry. Yes, today doing real estate business means spending more time
and money to “Brave out and survive all odds”. Come let us all join at “MOSCOW”
to find a solution to this eternal real estate imbroglio.
