Zydus Cadila on recently said it is looking for partnership to market its new chemical entity (NCE) Lipaglyn, to be used for treating a type of diabetes in developed & developing markets.
Lipaglyn is the first glitazar to be approved in the world & the first NCE discovered and developed indigenously by an Indian pharma firm.
The new drug is expected to be launched in Q3 of this fiscal in India, Zydus Cadila CMD Mr. Pankaj Patel said. The firm has spent $ 25 crore in developing Lipaglyn & aims to spend another $ 15 crore to 20 crore to launch the drug in overseas markets in the next 3 to 5 years, Mr. Patel said.
