Franklin Templeton Survey Result: Indian Investors Most Bullish on Equities..!

Indian investors are optimistic about the stock markets though they plan to adopt a more conservative strategy for near future, according to a global investor survey by Franklin Templeton.

Mr. Harshendu Bindal, President, Franklin Templeton India said, “It is very clear that the industry needs to do a better job of increasing awareness and acceptance of equities and fixed income as core asset classes. There continues to be a strong preference for physical assets such as gold and real estate, and an investing-athome bias that needs to change“

** Indian investors (83 % respondents) are optimistic about their home country Indian stock markets. However, similar to the global trend, majority of the Indian investors are planning to adopt a more conservative strategy in 2013..

**  Franklin Templeton polled about 9,520 investors in 19 countries across Asia Pacific, the Americas and the Europe.
