Great Lakes and Philip Kotler Come together to reveal Modern Marketing Methods


Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, one of the top B-Schools in the country, hosted a session on Modern Marketing Methods featuring renowned marketing guru and the inventor of 4 P’s, Dr. Philip Kotler.

The session aimed at throwing light on the new age marketing methods that are practiced today in the growing midst of a social media culture.

Dr. Kotler in his address said, “The trends keep changing every minute, it is important to derive new formulae to derive strategic advantages. While the fundamentals of marketing remain the same, it is important to identify elements that would define a perfect marketing mix. To score brand advantage, one should inculcate the power of forecasting change in the trend.”
In his warm welcome speech Prof Sriram, Executive Director, Great Lakes, spoke about the importance of indulging in research practices in order to formulate new marketing theories that would quench the modern marketing demands. He stressed on the need and importance of nurturing and practicing core values such asability with humility, passion with compassion and mobility with nobility.

Dr. Philip Kotler piloted the session with an aim to drive the students of Great Lakes to think ahead of the generation. In an illustrative session, Dr. Kotler elaborated the architecture of modern marketing methods. The session propelled the students to come up with constructive theories that would conform to the modern marketing demands.

This session is one of the initiatives carried forward by Great Lakes in order to encourage dynamic ideas which would answer to whole new industry demand. Through Kotler-Srinivasan Centre for Research and Marketing, Great Lakes Institute of Management aims to bring in new age theories in the subject of marketing.
