AUMs of Income Tax-saving MFs Hit 2 Year High..!


The assets under management (AUM) of ELSS  (Equity Linked Savings Scheme) funds have crossed Rs. 25,000 crore, their highest level since April 2011,according to the latest data available with the AMFI (Association of Mutual Funds in India).

ELSS funds are eligible for income tax deduction under Section 80C and have the shortest lockin period of three (3) years among all tax-saving options.

The total AUM of these tax-saving funds stood at Rs.  25,069 crore at the end of January 2013.
